Our Mission
The Maintenance Officer exercises staff supervision and coordination of all wing aircraft maintenance in the following areas:
>Makes recommendations to the commander for the improvement of the maintenance program.
>Ensures that aircraft are painted and identified in accordance with current directives.
>Ensures that aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition in accordance with FAA requirements.

Request Aircraft Maintenance
Remember, when requesting maintenance, be specific and give all details of the problem.
This will speed up getting the problem fixed.
The PREFERRED method of getting a purchase order number is by using the Yahoo Group
(TexasWingMaint@yahoogroups.com) listed above. Using the Yahoo Group method is usually
MUCH faster than using the Emergency voice line listed below.

NO purchase order numbers are given after the fact! If work is done on an aircraft,
without first obtaining a P.O. number, then that person who authorized the repairs
WILL be responsible for paying for the work. The Texas Wing will NOT reimburse for
repairs made without proper authorization.
Standardized Aircraft Information File (new AIF Booklets)
CAPR 60-1, para 2-14 requires that all CAP aircraft have a standardized Aircraft Information File. A few pages were recently changed at the request of the wings. All of the updated pages are clearly marked and available for download at:
